Pamela Patience Guinness, daughter of Sir Arthur Rundell Guinness, KCMG (1895-1951), of the banking branch of the brewing dynasty.

Philippa Viscountess Astor, who died 20 July, 2005, after a short
illness, was the secnd of the three wives of the 3rd Viscount Astor
[1907-66], of Cliveden, a peer embroiled in the Profumo Affair, 1963.


Philippa Victoria Hunloke was born at 2 Carlton Gardens, St. James's,
London, 10 December, 1930 the eldest child & only daughter of
Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Philip Hunloke [a descendant of King William
IV & Mrs Jordan]. Hunloke's wife was Lady Anne Cavendish, daughter of
the 9th Duke of Devonshire.


Philippa, who for 5 years previous to her nuptials, was working in
theatrical stage management in reperory in London's West End, married
at St. Columba's (Church of Scotland), Belgravia, London, 26 April,
1955 (divorced London 1960, Decree Nisi London 3 June, 1960), William
Waldorf Astor, 3rd Viscount Astor,[b. Cliveden, Taplow, Buckinghamshire
13 Aug, 1907; d. Nassau, Bahamas 8 Mar, 1966, [son of the 2nd Viscount
and of Nancy Viscountess Astor]


They had 1 child Hon. Emily Astor, born 1956; by her second husband
James Anderson (grandson of James, 16th Earl of Perth) she has 2 sons &
2 daughters.

Lansdowne, PC (1912-1999). She was the former Penelope Eve (known as
Minnie) Bradford, daughter of Commander George Francis Norton Bradford,
RN, and married (i) David Rolt, (ii) in 1982, as his 2nd wife, the Hon.
John Astor (b. 1923, d, 1987) yst son of the 1st Lord Astor of Hever;
married (iii) as his 4th wife, 12 July 1995, the 8th Marquess of
Lansdowne, who died 25 Aug 1999. Funeral at Selworthy Church, near
Minehead, Somerset, 6 January, 2007.

Eric, died Wednesday 24th November, aged 97. Married to Connie for 58
years, and now will be greatly missed by his sons Miles and Stephen,
and his grandchildren Conrad, Conor, Gavin, Lucy, Joe and Patrick, and
his great-grandchildren Ellie, Eva, Louis, Jacob and Suji. Funeral to
take place at Cork Crematorium, Ireland, on Saturday 27th November at
11 a.m. and then his ashes will be placed alongside his beloved
Connie's at the City of London Cemetery, Wanstead.
He was the father of Dr Miles FRANKEL of Kilbrack House, Doneraile, co
Cork who m 1970 Frances Christine Langhorne (b 1970) dau of the Hon
Francis David Langhorne ASTOR CH (1912-2001, son of 2nd Viscount ASTOR
and Nancy Witcher LANGHORNE CH of USA (first woman to sit in the House
of Commons) mother and son both awarded the Companion of Honour) and
his1st wife Melanie Mathilda Elena (dau of Philip HAUSER of Berne,
Switzerland).
