cracroft has him dying in September 1668 (as has Wikipedia, but that's probably a secondary source) rather than 1688.

WARNING for the casual reader...
this individual may be known as 21st or 22nd Earl, depending on which list you are looking at - or the 4th!

Yes Cokayne confirms his death as Sep 1668, at Alloa.
