The Countess of Cavan, widow of the 12th Earl of Cavan, died 15
January, 2005, aged 83.


She was born Essex Lucy Cholmondeley, in 1921, scion of the Barons
Delamere (UK 1821), daughter of Henry Arthur Cholmondeley (1855-1952),
by his wife Helen Mary (d. 1923), daughter of Harold Wrigley, of Ganton
Hall, Scarborough.


She married in 1947, Lt-Col. Michael Edward Oliver Lambart, TD, styled
Viscount Kilcoursie, son and heir of the 11th Earl of Cavan
(1878-1950). Her husband succeeded in 1950 as Viscount Kilcoursie, Lord
Lambart, Baron of Cavan, and Earl of Cavan (Earldom in the peerage of
Ireland, 1647).


Her husband commanded the Shropshire Yeomanry, 1955-58; was Vice Lord
Lieutenant for Salop, 1975-87, and died in 1988, when he was succeeded
in his peerages by a kinsman, Roger Cavan Lambart.


Lady Cavan is survived by two daughters, Lady Sarah (b. 1948), and Lady
Katherine (b. 1955), another daughter, Lady Jane, died in childhood in
1954.


A private cremation, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at the
Church of Saint Chad, Stockton, near Shifnal, Shropshire on Wednesday
26 January, 2005.

The engagement was announced in July 2007 between Harry Charles Lambart Sinclair (b 1972), elder son of Mr Alistair Charles Sinclair by his late wife the former Lady Sarah Audrey Lambart (b 1948, d ?), and stepson of Mrs Alistair Sinclair, of Kingston Lisle, Oxfordshire, and Lianne Michelle Gough, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Gough, of Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.

Harry Sinclair is a grandson maternally of the 12th Earl of Cavan (1911-1988)

Zena Marshall, actress, who died 10 July, 2009, aged 83, was he first
_Bond Girls_ as Miss Taro, the Chinese double agent in _Dr No_. She
was b 1 Jan 1926; she married thrice, the first (i) 1947, was to band
leader Paul Adam; her 3rd marriage, 1991, was to Ivan Cottam Foxwell
(1914-2002), screenwriter and film producer: he had married (i) 1940
(div 1974) the Lady Edith Sybil Lambart (1918-96), scion of the Earls
of Cavan.

STOURTON Joanna
Joanna (née Lambart), on 1st October 2011, died peacefully in Hospital
following a short illness, aged 81. Beloved wife of the late Michael
and adored mother of Julia, Clare, Tom and Harry, and much loved
grandmother to her nine grandchildren. Funeral to be held at St
Andrew's Church, Great Rollright, on Thursday 13th October 2011 at 12
noon. Donations to Cardiac Intensive Care Charitable Fund at
Southampton Hospital.

She was the dau of FM the 10th Earl of CAVAN (1865-1948) and his 2nd w
Lady Hester Joan BYNG DBE (1888-1976, dau of 5th Earl of STRAFFORD by
his 2nd w a scion of the marquesses of LOTHIAN). She m 1955 Maj
Michael Godwin Plantagenet (1926-2001, son of Maj the Hon John Joseph
STOURTON TD 1899-1992 (son of the 24th Lord MOWBRAY, etc by his wife a
scion of the dukes of NORFOLK) and his 1st w Kathleen Alice (d 1986,
dau of Robert Louis George GUNTHER of Englefield Green, Surrey)). They
had 2 sons and 2 daus as above.
