Major Charles William Lambton, late the Coldstream Guards, b. 1921,
son of Brig-Gen the Hon Charles Lambton, DSO (1857-1949) of the Earls
of Durham, died 3 May, 2005, aged 83. He married in 1950, Lady
Elizabeth Mary Fitzmaurice, daughter of the 6th Marquess of Lansdowne,
by whom he had issue.

The marriage is to take place 30 Aug 2005, at St James's Church,
Cooling, Kent, between Jools Holland, the pianist & TV presenter, and
Christabel Mary (nee McEwen, b. 1962), former wife of Edward Richard
Lambton, styled Baron Durham (son and heir of the disclaimed 6th Earl
of Durham), and daughter of Roderick (Rory) McEwen (1932-82), scion of
the McEwen Baronets (cr. 1953), by his wife the former Romana von
Hofmannsthal. The couple have a 14 yr old daughter together, and
Christabel has a son, Frederick Lambton, b. 23 Feb, 1985.

Antony Claud Frederick Lambton, styled Viscount Lambton, politician and
writer, who, in 1970, disclaimed the Earldom of Durham, died at
Sovicille, Italy, 30 December 2006. He was aged 84. Lord Lambton was
born 10 July 1922; styled 1941-70 Viscount Lambton; MP (Conservative)
for Berwick-upon-Tweed 1951-73; Parliamentary Private Secretary to the
Foreign Secretary 1955-57; succeeded 1970 as sixth Earl of Durham,
disclaimed peerage for life 1970, desiring to be known as Lord Lambton;
Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence 1970-73;
married 1942 Belinda Blew-Jones (she died 13 Feb 2003; one son, four
daughters); He is succeeded by his son, Edward Richard Lambton, styled
Lord Durham, who was born 19 Oct 1961.

Prof Ann Lambton, OBE, Professor of Persian, University of London,
1953-79, and scion of the Earls of Durham (cr 1833), died 19 July
2008, aged 96. She was b 8 Feb 1912, dau of the Hon George Lambton
(1860-1945) (5th son of the 2nd Earl of Durham), by his wife Cecily (d
1972), dau of Sir John Francis Fortescue Horner, KCVO. She was unm.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday 24 July 2008 at St
Gregory's, Kirknewton.

_.The Hon Monica Dorothy Lambton, who died 23rd October 2009, aged 95,
was a scion of the Viscounts Hampden, and the widow of a scion of the
Earls of Duham. She was b Monica Dorothy Brand in 1914, daughter of
the 3rd Viscount Hampden, GCVO, KCB, CMG (1869-1958), sometime Lord in
Waiting to King George V, by his wife the former Lady Katharine Mary
Montagu-Douglas-Scott, dau of the 6th Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry;
she married 1933, D'Arcy Lambton (1908-38), kinsman of the Earls of
Durham, by whom she had issue, Michael Charles b 1934, and Lorna
Katherine b 1938. She had grandchildren, D'Arcy Lambton (b 1970), and
Monica, and great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Bruno, Stella, Ziggy and
Alfie. The Funeral Service will take place at St Nicholas Church,
Tingrith, Bedfordshire, 5th November 2009.

(1922-2006), by his wife the former Belinda Bridget Blew-Jones (d
2003), & Marina Jane Hanbury (b 1982), scion of that landed family,
elder dau of Timothy James Hanbury (b 1952), by his wife the former
Emma Longman (b 1959), dau of the late Mark Frederic Kerr Longman (d
1972), by his wife the former Lady Elizabeth Mary Lambart (b 1924),
dau of Field Marshal the 10th Earl of Cavan, &c,

Miss Rosemary Ann Lambton, who died 15 June, 2012, at the age of 76, was a scion of the Earls of Durham (cr UK 1833), a descendant of the 2nd Earl of Durham, a daughter of the late Cdr Hedworth Lambton, DSC, RN (1904-83), by his 1st wife the former Iris Wynnfred Violet Halpin.

_The Hon John George Lambton, who died at West Marden, 21 August, 2012, aged 80, was a a scion of the Earls of Durham (Peerage of the UK, cr 1833). He was born 10 June, 1932, a son of John Frederick Lambton, 5th Earl of Durham (1884-1970), by his second wife, the former Hermione Bullough (1906-1990), scion of the Bullough Baronets (Bt, cr 1916, extinct 1939), dau of Sir George Bullough, 1st Baronet, by his wife Monica Lilly, dau of the 4th Marquis de la Pasture, &c.

The Hon John George Lambton was unmarried.
