Hélene Ellinor Clare Bullen-Smith (nee Kidston), scion of the BLG
family of Kidston of Redenham Park, died at her home, 26 June, 2005.
She was aged 101 years.


She was the second daughter of Capt Archibald Glen Kidston (1871-1913),
The Black Watch, by his wife Hélene Adeline Blanche Chapman (later
Lady Windham) ( of the BLG family Chapman of Donhead House). Her
siblings included Lt-Cdr George Pearson Glen Kidston, the racing
motorist and airman who made the record England-Cape of Good Hope
flight in 1931; Lieut. Home Ronald Archibald Kidston, who married a
daughter of the 5th Earl Howe; an elder sister, Nancy Ellinor whose
first husband was the 9th Earl of Darnley; and a younger sister,
Audrey, whose first husband was a Bellville (BLG) and whose second
husband was the Hon Peter Pleydell-Bouverie, scion of the Earls of
Radnor.


She married (i) 1925 (div. 1933), Major Philip Pinckney Curtis, MC,
scion of the Curtis baronets, by whom she had issue; married (ii) 1933
(div. 1950), Rear-Admiral Philip Esmonde Phillips, CB, DSO, by whom she
had one son; married (iii) 1952, Major-General David Charles
Bullen-Smith, MC, of Bullington House, Sutton Scotney, Hants.


The funeral takes place at Bullington Church, 9 July, 2005

Jonathan James Kidston, who has died aged 62, was a grandson maternally of the the 4th Baron Manners (cr UK, 1807) and was a scion of the landed family of Kidston of Redenham Park. He was born in 1949, second son of John Bonham Kidston by his wife the former Hon Patricia Anna Manners. He married in 1981, Joanna, dau of Colonel Michael Panton.

_.Henriette Mary J. Kidston (nee Peace, born 1968), wife since 2001 of Hugo A. Kidston (b 1965), scion of that landed family, gave birth to a son, Alfred Hugh Atherley, 14 January, 2013.

Hugo is a son of Archibald Martin Glen Kidston (b 6 Apr 1927, d 1978), head of the landed family of Redenham Park, Andover, Hants, by his wife the former Susan Myrtle Pease (d 1991), scion of that landed family, of Hesslewood, and Henriette is a daughter of David Peace by his wife the former Myrtle Vaughan.
