_.The engagement was announced (Daily Mail 26/3/2010) between Charles
Edward Maurice [Spencer], 9th Earl Spencer (b 20 May 1964), only surv
son of the late 8th Earl Spencer, MVO (1924-92), by his 1st wife, the
Hon Frances Ruth Burke Roche (1936-2004), scion of the Barons Fermoy,
& Bianca Jane, Lady Eliot (nee Ciambriello b 1976), dau of Joseph
Cambriello, of Plymouth, by his wife Lesley K. Price, and widow of
Jago Nicholas Aldo Eliot, styled Lord Eliot (1966-2006) son and heir
of the 10th Earl of St.Germans, by his 1st wife, the Hon.
Jacquetta Jean Frederika Lampson, daughter of the 1st Baron Killearn.

Earl Spencer, brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales has been
wed twice before, 1stly 1989 (div 1997), (Catherine) Victoria
Lockwood, by whom he has issue, (i) Hon Louis Frederick Spencer,
styled Viscount Althorp (b. 14 Mar 1994), (i) Lady Kitty Eleanor
Spencer (b. 28 Dec 1990), (ii) Lady Eliza Victoria Spencer (b. 10 Jul
1992)
(iii) Lady Katya Amelia Spencer (b. 10 Jul 1992); he married 2ndly,
2001 Caroline Victoria Freud (former wife of Matthew Rupert Freud, 2nd
son of Sir Clement Raphael Freud, of 14 York House, Upper Montagu
Street, London W1, and Westons, Walberswick, co. Suffolk, by his wife
June Beatrice Flewett, dau. of H W Flewett), dau. of Rupert Hutton by
his wife Mrs Malcolm Barr, and has issue by her, (ii) the Hon Edmund
Charles Spencer (b. 6 Oct 2003), and (iv) Lady Lara Spencer (b. Apr
2006).

Lady Eliot has a son (heir to his grandfather's earldom) the the Hon.
Albert Clarence Eliot, born shortly before 4 November, 2004, and twin
daughters, the Hon. Ruby Eliot and the Hon. Violet Eliot, b. 7 April,
2003.

Chad (b 1942), son of Anthony Duckworth-Chad, of Pynkney, Norfolk, by
his wife, the former Elizabeth Sarah Wake-Walker (b 1944), scion of
the Walker Baronets (cr UK 1856), & Lucy Rose Greenwell (b ,1979)
daughter of Sir Edward Greenwell, 4th Baronet (b 1948) and the late
Lady Greenwell, of Gedgrave, Suffolk.
William Duckworth-Chad is a second cousin of TRH Princes William &
Harry.

_The Countess Spencer (nee Karen Villeneuve), wife of Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer (b 20 May, 1964), gave birth to a daughter, Lady Charlotte Diana Spencer, 30 July, 2012, a half sister for Louis, Viscount Althorp, the Hon Edmund Spencer, the Ladies Kitty, Katya, Eliza and Lara Spencer and 2 Gordon half-sisters from Lady Spencer's previous marriage to Mark Gordon.

The infant is a first cousin for HRH The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry of Wales.
