I have implemented a change of Second Site, which is the software that takes the database from The Master Genealogist and converts into in a web-site.
At the same time, I have rewritten all of my code which creates the various special indexes and reports. What was previously a lot of clumsy and long Perl code is now a more concise set of Ruby code.
However, if you spot anything weird going on in the website as a result of these changes please let me know.
Regards
Darryl

I have recently updated the software which takes the data from my database, TMG, and converts it into the web site - now up to Second Site 4, which has several new features which I haven't fully explored yet.
However there is one small bug which means that the place index from Scotland through Z is messed up. This bug should be sorted soon-ish, and I will update this post when it is. |

The bug in Second Site which was messing up my places index is now fixed.
John Cardinal had to fix Second Site so that it could handle more than 32000 places in a database.
Sometimes it feels like thePeerage.com is pushing the boundaries of TMG/Second Site data capacity limits.
