Thomas Richard Sinclair Buchan (son of David William Sinclair Buchan of Auchmacoy and of his wife, née Hon. Susan Scott-Ellis [herself the daughter of John Scott-Ellis, Lord Howard de Walden, and of his wife, née Irene Gräfin von Harrach]) and his wife, née Vanessa Birrell (daughter of Mr and Mrs John Birrell, of Melbury Abbas, Dorset) had their first child, John Alexander Sinclair, on 13 April 2005.

Verena Helena Anna Freda Gräfin von Bassewitz, née von Bethmann-Hollweg, died on 18 July 2005. [She was born at Tiefhartmannsdorf on 16 September 1908, daughter of Dietrich Moritz Wilhelm von Bethmann-Hollweg (himself the son of Johann Philipp Karl Theodor von Bethmann-Hollweg and of his wife, née Freda Gräfin von Arnim) and of his first wife, née Franziska Carola Marianne Renata Gräfin von Harrach (herself the daughter of Ferdinand Graf vonHarrach and of his wife, née Helene Gräfin von Pourtalès). In 1930 she married Albrecht Graf von Bassewitz (1903-1991), son of Gerd Heinrich Karl Friedrich Graf von Bassewitz and of his wife, née Viktoria Freiin von Beaulieu-Marconnay. She is survived by their two sons and a daughter.]

Nicolas Freiherr von Pfetten-Arnbach (only son of Cajetan Freiherr von Pfetten-Arnbach [himself the son of Maximilian Freiherr von Pfetten-Arnbach and of his wife, née Marie-Elisabeth Gräfin von Harrach] and his wife, née Henriette Gräfin Khuen von Belasi) and his wife, née Kirsten Rae (daughter of Mr Thomas Rae and his wife, née Morna Armstrong), had their second child, Benedicta Maddalena Elisabeth Simone Maria Leonarda Frances, at Ingolstadt on 23 February 2006.

Alice Freifrau Dreihann-Holenia von Sulzberg am Steinhof, née Gräfin von Harrach, died on 2 October 2006. [She was born at Vienna on 23 September 1916, daughter of Franz Maria Alfred Graf von Harrach and of his second wife, née Alice Gräfin zu Hardegg auf Glatz und Machlande. In 1940 she married Karl Freiherr Dreihann-Holenia von Sulzberg am Steinhof (1906-1978), son of Günther Romuald Klemens August Freiherr Dreihann-Holenia von Sulzberg am Steinhof and of his wife, née Gabriele Gräfin von Gudenus. She is survived by their son and daughter, and grandchildren.]

Alexander Mitchell and his wife, née Philippa Gräfin Czernin v.Chudenitz (daughter of Joseph Graf Czernin v.Chudenitz and of his wife, née Hon Hazel Scott-Ellis [herself the daughter of the late John Scott-Ellis, Lord Howard de Walden, and of his wife, née Irene Gräfin von Harrach]) had a third daughter, Olivia Maria Theodora, on 23 January 2007.
