Claire McCorquodale [nee Coode], wife since 2001 of James McCorquodale, scion of that landed family, gave birth to a son, Robert, 6 April, 2006, a brother for Amelia, who was b. 29 February, 2004.

James is son of Mr & Mrs Euan McCorquodale, of Roxburghshire, and Claire is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Jonathan Coode, of Cornwall. James's mother is Lady-in-Waiting to the Duchess of Gloucester. James is kin of the Dowager Countess of Strathmore; both husbands of the late Dame Barbara Cartland; Raine, Countess Spencer, and Lady Sarah Spencer's husband, Neil.
Claire is kin of the Olympic rower, Ed Coode, of that BLG family, &c.

William Sitwell, younger son of Mr & Mrs Francis Sitwell, and nephew
of Sir Reresby Sitwell, Bt, announced his engagement, 26 January,
1999, to Laura Barbara, daughter of Mr & Mrs Euan McCorquodale.

Sarah (Sally) van Cutsem (nee McCorquodale), who died 1 August 2008,
was a scion of the McCorquodale LG family (and kin of the ext. Baron
McCorquodale of Newton), & was a kinswoman of Raine Countess Spencer,
and sister of Neil McCorquodale (b 1951), husband of Lady Sarah
Spencer, sister of Diana, Princess of Wales. She was b 1948, dau of
Alastair McCorquodale (b 5 Dec 1925), by his wife the former Rosemary
Sybil Turnor (b 1924), scion of that LG family, and the granddaughter
of a Fane scion of the Earls of Westmorland; married Geoffrey Neil van
Cutsem (b 23 Nov 1944), of that LG family, the son of Bernard van
Cutsem, by his wife Mary Compton, scion of the Marquesses of
Northampton; 2 daughters, Sophie (b 5 Aug 1975) (wife of Robert
Morley?), and Zara van Cutsem (b 1978), wife of the Hon Henry (Harry)
Noel (b 1977), a future Earl of Gainsborough son of Viscount Campden
by his wife nee Winnington scion of the Winnington Baronets. Mrs van

Alastair McCorquodale, who died 27 Feb, 2009, aged 83, was a scion of
the LG family of that name. He was b 5 Dec, 1925, son of Maj Kenneth
McCorquodale (b 1894), by his wife the former Ellen Viva Martin;
married 26 Jul 1947, Rosemary Sybil Turnor (b 9 Sept 1924), dau of or
Maj Herbert Broke Turnor (d 1969), by his wife the former Lady Enid
Victoria Rachel Fane, dau of the 13th Earl of Westmorland; by whom he
had issue, (i) Sarah McCorquodale (1948-2008) sometime wife of
Geoffrey van Cutsem, of that LG family; (ii) Neil Edmund McCorquodale,
b 1951, who married 17 May 1980, the Lady Sarah Spencer (b 1955), dau
of the 8th Earl Spencer, MVO, and sister of Diana, Princess of
Wales.
