Rosa Salome Pelly (nee Wordsworth), who d 10 Apr 1995, aqed 94, was widow of the Rev Canon Richard Lawrence Pelly (1886-1976), of the Pelly Baronets, and was dau of the Rt Rev John Wordsworth, 93rd Bishop of Salisbury (see Williams Bt cr 1915). Times 13 Apr 1995.

Death of Betty Joan Pelly, 84, widow of Capt Nigel Cavendish Pelly, OBE, 29 Oct, 1995. She was Betty Joan Cole, daughter of Lt-Col Lionel Webster Cole, OBE, of Cairo, Egypt, and married Nigel Pelly, 2 July, 1934. He was b. 20 July, 1908; & died in Nov, 1966, leaving issue; 2 sons, Christopher & Marcus, and a daughter, Sally.
Douglas Gurney Pelly, of the Pelly Baronets, died 5 January, 2001, in his 91st year. His eldest daughter, Claire Murray Threipland, was first wife of the 17th Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery. Mr Pelly was High Sheriff of Essex in 1962.
Monica Pelly, wife of Douglas, of the Pelly Baronets, and mother of Claire, first wife of the late 17th Earl of Pembroke & Montgomery, died 18 November, 2000. She was Monica, only child of Lt-Col Arthur Wignall Tate, DSO (b. 14 Apl, 1888; d. 8 March, 1939), late The Black Watch, of Lenwade House, Great Witchingham, Norwich, by his wife (married 1910)Violet Elaine, only child of F.W. Few. Monica's paternal grandfather was Henry Tate (b. 8 Dec, 1853; d. 12 Feb, 1902) m. 26 Oct, 1882, Grace (d. 9 Apl, 1945), dau of John Burton, of Streatham. Monica's great-grandfather was Sir Henry Tate, 1st Baronet, of Park Hill, Streatham Common, London (b. 11 March, 1819; d.5 Dec, 1899), JP for Surrey, London and Denbighshire; a Trustee of the National Gallery; created a Baronet, 27 June, 1898; married (1) 1 March, 1841, Jane (d. 29 Nov, 1883), dau of John Wignall, of Aughton, Lancashire. Monica Pelly married Douglas Pelly, 14 May, 1935.
Douglas Charles Vincent Pelly, (of the Pelly Baronets), died 3 October, 2001, aged 93. He was b. 24 June, 1908, son of Sir Henry Bertram Pelly, KCVO (1867-1942), by his wife, the former Lilian Katherine Hawkshaw Vincent (d. 1966), elder dau of Sir William Vincent, 12th Baronet (b. at Hughenden Manor, Buckinghamshire, 20 Sept, 1834; d. 16 Feb, 1914), of D'Abernon Chase, Leatherhead, Surrey, by his 2nd wife, Hester Clare Hawkshaw, dau of Rev. Prebendary Hawkshaw by his wife Catherine, dau of Sir Hungerford Hoskyns, 7th Baronet, and widow of Major-General William H. Stubbs.
Richard Edward Pelly, of the Pelly Baronets, died in his sleep, 28 November, 2002. He was 97. He was born at Harlow, Essex, 29 May, 1905, the son of Alfred Digby Pelly [1862-1940], by his wife, the former Evelyn Sophia Harford, daughter of the Rev. Edward Harford, Canon of Wells Cathedral, & a descendant of the Bridges Baronets. His sister, Violet, who was born in 1900, married in 1923, the 10th Marquis de Ruvigny, holder of a French title created in 1652. The Pellys were settled in Dorset from the early 14th century. His ancestor, John Henry Pelly [1777-1852] was Governor fo the Bank of England, and Gov. of the Hudson's Bay Co, &c., who was awarded a baronetcy in 1840. Mr Pelly married in 1941, Diana Marthe Desgrand Mitchell, by whom he had two daughters, Louise Pelly, of Toronto, and Harriet Pelly-Graham. His wife predeceased him in 1991.
David Cecil Pelly, who was born 17 March, 1922, died 8 July, 2003, aged 81. He was scion of the Pelly Baronets (created 1840), and married in 1950, Angela Mary Gandell, by whom he had issue.
Kathleen Irene Pelly (nee Moorhouse) wife since 1945 of Peter Richard Pelly (b. 1916), of the Pelly Baronets, died in Hertfordshire, 21 October, 2003. She was the mother of 2 daughters.
John Stewart Gatehouse Pelly, who died 10 April, 2004, aged 74, was a scion of the Pelly Baronets (created in 1840). He was born in 1930, son of Capt John Noel Pelly, CBE, RN (1888-1945), by his wife Rosalind Gatehouse, and married in 1960, Helen Josephine, daughter of Denys Heaton Hirst, by whom he had issue:-
(i) Jennifer, b. 1965
(ii) Catherine, b. 1967
(iii) Helen, b. 1969
(iv) Isobel, b. 1973.
John Gordon Pelly, who died 20 August, 2004, aged 80, was a scion of the Pelly Baronets (created in 1840). He was born 27 November, 1923, & educated at Marlborough; son of Capt Arthur Roland Pelly (1895-1966), 5th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment, sometime Bursar of Cheltenham College; by his wife, Phyllis Elsie, elder dau of Alexander Duff Henderson, of Hampstead. Career: served in WW2 as Lieutenant, RNVR, and was mentioned in despatches. He married in 1947, Patricia, elder dau of Major Hugh Clarence Fuller, of Arran Lodge, Crossabeg, County Wexford, Ireland, by whom he had a son, Henry, and two daughters, Priscilla & Caroline.

Catherine Lorraine (Kitty) Pelly, who died 30 June 2006, aged 89, was the widow of Commander Douglas Charles Vincent Pelly, RN, (b. 1908; d.?) scion of the Pelly Baronets (cr 1840). She was Catherine Lorraine, daughter of Edwyn Conran, of Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, and married in 1938. She leaves issue, Anne, Gill, Catherine and Edwyn. The funeral took place at St Mary's, Church, Winchfield, Hants, 13 July 2006...

The engagement was announced 4 January, 2007, between Gregory T.
Bartlett, youngest son of Mr & Mrs David Bartlett, of Tollesbury,
Essex, & Tessa Patricia Pelly (b. 1977), scion of the Pelly Baronets,
eldest daughter of David Claude Raymond Pelly (b. 1941), of Coltishall,
Norfolk, by his wife Philippa Bowman.

Pamela Moriet Paton (née Pelly), who died 27 October, 2008, aged 97,
was a scion of the Pelly Baronets (cr UK 1840). She was born in 1911,
dau of Brigadier-General Theodore Pelly, CB, CMG, DSO (1881-1952), a
Military Knight of Windsor, by his wife the former Moriet Elsie Maxwell Creagh (d 1965) descended from the Wolseley Baronets (cr 1744); married (i) 1935, Frank Rough, who died in 1966; (ii) 1968, John Moore Lorimer, who died in 1982; (iii)1993, Donald Pearson Paton, DFC, who d 1998. She leaves a daughter, Caroline, b. 1940, from her 1st union. Funeral at St. Lawrence Church, Great Waldingfield, 14 November.

Emma Victoria Pelly (née Davidson) wife of Richard Philip Pelly, (b.
1971), scion of the Pelly Baronets, gave birth to a son, 22 Oct, 2008,
at Chelmsford, Ethan Clive des Voeux Pelly.
Richard is the only son of Mr & Mrs Roland Des Voeux Pelly, of
Stansted, Essex, and Emma is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Clive Davidson, of
Colchester, Essex.

Died peacefully on 13th May 2010 aged 86. Cremation Service at Exeter
& Devon Crematorium, Topsham Road, EX2 6EU at 4:00 PM on Thursday 20th
May. (Donations to The International Spinal Research Trust, Guildford
GU5 0AZ)
She was the dau of John LUSCOMBE of North Huish, Devon. She m 1948
Richard Heywood PELLY (1920-88) son of Maj Sir (Harold) Alwyne PELLY
5th Bt MC (1893-1981) and Caroline Earle (d 1976) dau of Richard
Heywood HEYWOOD-JONES of Badsworth Hall, Yorks. They had a son, Sir
John Richard Pelly 7th & present Bt (b 1950) and is married with three
sons. And a dau Jane Carol (b 1949), also married with a son and a dau.

Paul de Rham, who died 7 March, 2012, aged 73, was ths son of Bernard de Rham, of Villars-sur-Ollon and Morocco; married 1967, Sally Joan Pelly (b 1944), scion of the Pelly Baronets (cr UK, 1840) dau of Capt Charles Nigel Pelly, OBE (1908-66) by his wife the former Betty Joan Webster (1911-95). He leaves a widow and four children.
