Emily A. Foley (nee Rice), wife since 2003 of Ian Richard Foley (b. 1973), gave birth to a son, William Allen Mills, 15 December, 2006, at Palo Alto, United States, a brother for Alexandra. Ian is the yr son of Mr Andrew Thomas Foley (b. 1938), of the Barons Foley, of Stoke Edith, Herefordshire, & Mrs Gillian Foley, of Kensington, & Emily is the daughter of Mr & Mrs A. Rice, of Austin, Texas...

Excellent news for this peerage, as the heir to the barony, b 61, is not married, and the whole thing was looking precarious!

Andrew Thomas Foley, who died suddenly 15 Oct 2007, aged 70, was a scion of the Barons Foley (cr GB 1776), b
1937, and educated at Eton, son of Henry Thomas Hamilton Foley, MBE (1905-59) by his wife, Helen Constance Margaret (d 1985) dau of Sir Robert Barclay Pearson; married 1968, Gillian Brown, by whom he had issue, Rupert b 1970; Ian Richard, b 1973. The Telegraph notice says _father of Rupert, Ian, Emily and Alicia_l.Are the ladies his daughters-in-law. Married 2ndly, Jan 1995, at Hereford, Melanie J. Westall-Reece.

The engagement was announced 5 September, 2008, between William A.T. Nourse, youngest son of Dr Christopher Nourse, of Ipswich, Suffolk,
and Mrs John Phillips, of Sintra, Portugal, and Annabel Frances Helen
Foley (b 1973), scion of the Barons Foley (GB 1776), elder daughter of
Lt Gen Sir John Foley, MC (b 1939) and Lady Foley, of Eau Withington,
Herefordshire.

_The Lord Foley, 8th Baron, a peer for almost 85 years, died 12 February, 2012. He was 88. Adrian Gerald Foley was born 9 Aug 1923, son of the 7th Baron (1898-1927) by his wife the former Minoru Greenstone, and succeeded to the peerage (cr Baron, GB, 1776) on his father's death, 3 Apr, 1927. Lord Foley was thrice wed, and is succeeded in the peerage by his only son by his 1st spouse, the Hon Thomas Henry Foley, born 1 April, 1961.
