Diana Lloyd, (nee Brassey), who died 13 June, 2002, aged 87, was the widow of Lieutenant-Colonel Humphrey William Lloyd, JP, & was the third daughter of Robert Bingham Brassey, MP, of Cottesbrooke Hall, Northamptonshire, (1875-1946), cousin of Lord Brassey of Apethorpe, by
his first wife Violet Lowry-Corry, of the Earls of Belmore. Her father's second wife, whom he married in 1920, (div. 1927), was Dorothy Alice Margaret Augusta, Lady Dalmeny, former wife of Lord Dalmeny (later 6th Earl of Rosebery), and daughter of Lord Henry George Grosvenor.

The engagement was announced, 24 June, 2002, between Richard, elder son of Mr Robert Chambers, of Grange Lodge, Geddington, Northamptonshire, and Mrs Chambers, of Oundle, Northamptonshire, and
the Hon. Zara Brassey, (b. 1980), elder daughter of the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, OBE, & of his second wife, Baroness Brassey of Apethorpe, of The Manor House, Apethorpe, Peterborough. Zara is a great-granddaughter of the 1st Baron Brassey of Apethorpe (1870-1958) who m. 1894, Lady Violet Mary Gordon-Lennox, second daughter of the 7th Duke of Richmond & Gordon.

The engagement was announced, 25 September, 2002, between the Hon. Edward Brassey, [b. 9 March, 1964], only & heir son of the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, OBE, of Apethorpe, Northamptonshire and of the late Baroness Brassey,[nee Baskervyle-Glegg] and Miss Joanna C. Pardoe, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Julian Pardoe, of Newmarket, Suffolk.

The marriage took place, 1 February, 2003, at St Mary's Church, Brinkley, between the Hon. Edward Brassey, [b. 1964], only son of the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe and the late Baroness Brassey of Apethorpe, and Miss Joanna Pardoe, daughter of Mr and Mrs Julian Pardoe.

Joanna Brassey, wife since February, 2003, of the Hon. Edward Brassey, [b. 1964], only son of the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe and the late Baroness Brassey of Apethorpe, gave birth to a son, Christian, 23 December, 2003. Both bride and groom descend from King Charles II. Edward Brassey is a descendant of the King and Louise de Penancoet de Keroualle, Duchess of Portsmouth; & Joanna Pardoe is descended from the Merrie Monarch and Nell Gwynn.

The marriage took place 12 June, 2004, at St Leonard's Church, Apethorpe, between Richard Charles Stanley Chambers, elder son of Mr R.J. Chambers and Mrs C. Chambers, and the Hon. Zara Brassey (b. 1980), elder daughter of the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, OBE, by his second wife, the former Caroline Evill.
