I think this is in fact father and son (both having these names) conflated.

My post on Frederica Bridges (earlier today) shows the 1881 Census entry for her which also shows her husband, who is HWP junior.

The 1841 Census shows HWP senior as Rector of Eastwood (with [wife] Eleanor) and and HWP junior as a child of 6 (middle names not listed). In 1861, HWP senior is still there but HWP junior is in Kent as unmarried Curate of Godnestone, Eastry.

Mary Augusta (person 410294) is the daughter of HWP junior (see my post referred to above). Emily and John are children of HWP senior (+ Eleanor Bridges, presumably, just as you have them). I imagine HWP junior is Eleanor's child too, as there is no sign of any other marriage.
