Lisa Gilbey, daughter of Mr & Mrs Simon Gilbey, of Bridge of Cally, Perthshire, announced her engagement 9 Oct 1996 to Christopher Sandford, son of Mr & Mrs Michael Sandford, of Glasgow.

The engagement was announced, 8 February, 2002, between Harry, eldest son of Mr & Mrs Simon Newman Gilbey, of Guernsey, and Delphine, daughter of Mr & Mrs Alexander Rose, of Guernsey.

Delphine Gilbey [nee Rose] wife of Harry Gilbey, gave birth to a daughter, Rose Myn Joan, 2 October, 2002. Harry Gilbey is the eldest son of Mr & Mrs Simon Newman Gilbey, of Guernsey, and Delphine is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Alexander Rose, of Guernsey. Harry is a cousin of Mr James Gilbey, Diana, Princess of Wales's friend *Squidgy.*

Delphine Gilbey, wife of Harry Gilbey (a cousin of the late Diana, Princess of Wales's friend, James "Squidgy" Gilbey), and a kinsman of the Gilbey Baronets, gave birth to a daughter, Elisabeth Mythée Beverley, 14 March, 2005.

The engagement was announced 17 March, 2005, between Andrew Freeland, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R.G. Freeland, of Beccles, Suffolk, and Joan Gilbey, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S.N. Gilbey, of Guernsey, kin of the Gilbey Baronets, and cousin of Mr James Gilbey, known to Diana, Princess of Wales as "Squidgy".

Guy Newman Gilbey, who died at Melbourne, Australia, 19 July 2006, aged 53, was a scion from the family from which the Gilbey Baronets (cr 1893) descend. He was b. 23 Aug 1952, 2nd son of James Newman Gilbey (b. 1921), by his wife the former Celia Sparrow. He was a first cousin of James Gilbey (b. 1956), renowned as Diana, Princess of Wales's "Squidgy", &c. The Telegraph death notice says he was "Much loved by Siobhan and all his family". I have no details of a marriage, or of his issue, if any.

Baronets, gave birth to a son, Jack Newman, 21 July 2008, a brother
for Elisabeth Mythée Beverley, who was b 14 March, 2005.

Simon Newman GILBEY (b 1932) scion of the Gilbey Bts cr UK 1893
(descended from a brother of the 1st Bt, so not in line.They have a

TYRWHITT 2nd Bt (1905-61) and has issue including the present 3rd Bt;
she m 2nd 1965, as his 2nd wife, Sir (William) Godfrey AGNEW KCVO
(1913-95) only son of Lennox Edelsten AGNEW and Elsie Blyth (née
Nott).

_.James Newman Gilbey, scion of the Gilbey Baronets (cr 1893), died at his home in Somerset, 18 January, 2012. He was 90. He was b 10 Sept 1921, a son of Capt Francis Newman Gilbey, OBE, by his wife Mary Jump; educ at Ampleforth; married 1949, Celia Sparrow, by whom he had issue.
