Margaret de Burgh was born circa 1222.1 She was the daughter of Hubert de Burgh, 1st Earl of Kent and Margaret of Scotland.1 She married Richard de Clare, 5th Earl of Gloucester, son of Gilbert de Clare, 4th Earl of Gloucester and Lady Isabella Marshal, in 1232. She died in 1237.1
