     Captain John Alexander Campbell was born on 6 January 1856.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Duncan Campbell, 5th of South Hall and Ellen Barcroft Parker.¹ He died on 16 October 1893 at age 37, from wounds received in action.¹
     He was educated at Dreghorn College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was educated at Royal Navy Academy, Gosport, Hampshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the First Matabele War in 1893.¹

     Frederick Colin Campbell was born on 10 March 1857.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Duncan Campbell, 5th of South Hall and Ellen Barcroft Parker.¹ He died in January 1913 at age 55.¹
     He was educated at Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     Ellen Barcroft Campbell was born on 7 March 1854.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Duncan Campbell, 5th of South Hall and Ellen Barcroft Parker.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Euphemia Campbell was born on 8 December 1796.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall and Mary Campbell.¹ She died, young.¹

     Mary Campbell was born on 25 April 1799.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall and Mary Campbell.¹ She died in July 1885 at age 86, young.¹

     Helen Amelia Campbell was born on 16 July 1806.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall and Mary Campbell.¹ She died on 18 April 1860 at age 53, unmarried.¹

     Marion Campbell was born on 18 August 1810.¹ She was the daughter of John Campbell, 3rd of South Hall and Mary Campbell.¹ She died on 5 September 1855 at age 45, unmarried.¹

     Helen Campbell is the daughter of Duncan Campbell, 2nd of South Hall and Euphan Livingstone.¹ She married John Lamont of Lamont on 10 August 1773.¹
      From 10 August 1773, her married name became Lamont.¹
