Nathaniel Stevenson1

     Nathaniel Stevenson was born on 14 August 1772.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Stevenson and Janet Maxwell.2 He married Margaret Jane Scott, daughter of Thomas Rennie Scott, on 3 December 1837.1 He died on 2 March 1847 at age 74.1
     He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He held the office of Burgess of Glasgow in 1795.1 In 1795 member of the Faculty of Procurators.1 He purchased Braidwood, Lanarkshire in 1824.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

Janet Stevenson1

     Janet Stevenson was born on 5 August 1770.1 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Stevenson and Janet Maxwell.2 She married David Allison.1 She died on 20 April 1857 at age 86, without issue.1
     Her married name became Allison.
