     Hugh Elliot was born on 28 May 1896.1 He was the son of Major Hugh Elliot and Alicia Lucy Robinson.1 He died on 24 June 1916 at age 20 at Salonika, Greece, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, King's Regiment.1
