     Lady Emily Jane Stewart was born in 1789.2 She was the daughter of Robert Stewart, 1st Marquess of Londonderry and Lady Frances Pratt.1 She married, firstly, John James, son of Sir Walter James, 1st Bt. and Lady Jane Pratt, on 29 June 1814.1 She married, secondly, Field Marshal Henry Hardinge, 1st Viscount Hardinge of Lahore and Kings Newton, son of Reverend Henry Hardinge and Frances Best, on 10 December 1821.1 She died on 18 October 1865.1
     From 29 June 1814, her married name became James.1 From 10 December 1821, her married name became Hardinge. After her marriage, Lady Emily Jane Stewart was styled as Viscountess Hardinge on 2 May 1846.

     From 13 June 1859, her married name became Mansfield.

     Major Gerald Montagu Augustus Ellis was born on 13 September 1872.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Arthur Edward Augustus Ellis and Hon. Mina Frances Labouchere.1 He died on 29 May 1953 at age 80, unmarried.1
     He fought in the North-West Frontier between 1897 and 1898.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was wounded.1 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Victoria.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King Edward VII between 1908 and 1910.1 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King George V between 1910 and 1919.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Rifle Brigade.1 He held the office of Extra Gentleman Usher to HM King George V between 1919 and 1936.1 He held the office of Extra Gentleman Usher to HM King Edward VIII in 1936.1 He held the office of Extra Gentleman Usher to HM King George VI between 1937 and 1952.1
