     Sir William Douglas was the son of Sir Henry Douglas of Lochleven and Margery Stewart.1 He married Marjorie Lindsay, daughter of David Lindsay, 1st Earl of Crawford and Elizabeth Stewart.2 He died in 1421, killed in action.1
     He lived at Lochleven, Scotland.1 He acquired Ralston from his uncle, Sir Walter Stewart.1

     Jean Charlotte Mary Theresa Farrell was born on 15 October 1918.1 She was the daughter of Charles Bennett Lawrence Farrell and Monti Phoebe Aimee Brown.2,1 She married N. Peter Maclaren, son of Dr. Norman Henry William Maclaren and Mary Margaret Garnet, in February 1941 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2,1 She died on 28 March 2009 at age 90 at Barwhillanty, Parton, Caslte Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.1
     From February 1941, her married name became Maclaren.2
