     Reverend John James Hornby was born on 27 August 1777.1 He was the son of Reverend Geoffrey Hornby and Lady Lucy Smith-Stanley.1 He married, firstly, Henrietta Atherton on 14 October 1800.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Boyle in 1830.1 He died on 4 September 1855 at age 78.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1799 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1802 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector between 1813 and 1855 at Winwick, Lancashire, England.1
