     Sir Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 26 February 1660 at Kilspindie, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Lindsay, 1st Bt. and Jean Fotheringham.1 He married Catherine Wardlaw, daughter of Cuthbert Wardlaw of Balmule and Catherine Dalgleish, on 4 March 1681 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He died after 1709.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lindsay, of Evelick, co. Perth [S., 1666] circa 1690.
