     Florence Kennedy was born in 1846.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Pitt Kennedy and Anna Maria Style.1 She married Abraham Martin on 24 May 1870 at St. Saviour, Pimlico, London, England.1,2 She died on 27 September 1899 at 66 St. Georges Square, Pimlico, London, England.2
     From 24 May 1870, her married name became Martin.1

     Abraham Martin was born on 30 January 1838 at County SLigo, Ireland.2 He married Florence Kennedy, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Pitt Kennedy and Anna Maria Style, on 24 May 1870 at St. Saviour, Pimlico, London, England.1,2 He died on 19 April 1874 at age 36 at Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.2
     He lived at Clevergh, County Sligo, Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 11th Regiment.1

     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Sudan Campaign between 1884 and 1885.1 He fought in the Dongola Expedition in 1896.1 He fought in the Nile Expedition in 1898.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1906.1
