     Major Charles Langford was born on 5 October 1873 at Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland.2,3 He was the son of John Crawford Langford and Margaret Euphemia Gibbon.3 He married Agnes Sutherland Matterson, daughter of Joseph Matterson and Agnes Sutherland, on 28 June 1906.3 He died on 6 August 1969 at age 95.2 He was buried at Deansgrange Cemetery, Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland.4
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the King's Royal Irish Hussars.1 He lived at The Abbey, Rathkeale, County Limerick, IrelandG.1
