He married Martha Carvalho de Freitas, daughter of José Maria Gomes de Freitas and Maria Bernadete Aragao Carvalho, on 14 April 1982 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.1

     Joana Maria Valentina Lambrino was born on 3 October 1898 at Roman, Romania.1,2 She was also reported to have been born on 3 October 1896 at Roman, Romania. She was the daughter of Colonel Constantin Lambrino and Euphrosine Alcaz. She married Carol II von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania, son of Ferdinand Viktor Albert Meinrad von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania and Marie Alexandra Victoria Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of Edinburgh, on 31 August 1918 at Odessa, Ukraine. She died on 11 March 1953 at age 54 at Paris, France.1,3
     Joana Maria Valentina Lambrino also went by the nick-name of Zizi. Her marriage to Carol II von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania was annulled on 8 January 1919 because the marriage was without permission.4
