He was the son of Captain Charles Ambler and Louise Gwendolen Cullen.2 He married Margaretha Désirée Victoria Bernadotte, Princess of Sweden, daughter of Gustaf Adolf Oscar Frederik Arthur Edmund Bernadotte, Hereditary Prince of Sweden and Sibylla Calma Marie Alice Bathildis Feodora Prinzessin von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, on 30 June 1964 at Gärdslösa, Isle of Öland, Sweden.2 He died on 31 May 2008 at age 83.3

     Johann Georg Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen was born on 31 January 1932 at Schloss Sigmaringen, Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.2,3 He was the son of Friedrich Viktor Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and Margarethe Karola Prinzessin von Sachsen.1 He married Birgitta Ingeborg Alice Bernadotte, Princess of Sweden, daughter of Gustaf Adolf Oscar Frederik Arthur Edmund Bernadotte, Hereditary Prince of Sweden and Sibylla Calma Marie Alice Bathildis Feodora Prinzessin von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, on 25 May 1961 at Stockholm, SwedenG, in a civil marriage, and were remarried in a religious ceremony on 30 May 1961 at Schloss Sigmaringen.2 He died on 2 March 2016 at age 84.
     He was given the name of Johann-Georg Carl Leopold Eitel-Friedrich Meinrad Maria Hubertus Michael von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen at birth. He was director-general of the Bavarian National Museum between 1986 and 1991.4 He was head of the Bavarian State Collection of Paintings between 1991 and 1998.4
