     Maximilian Alexander Friedrich Wilhelm Prinz von Baden was born on 10 July 1867. He was the son of Ludwig Wilhelm Prinz von Baden and Mariya Herzogin von Leuchtenberg. He married Marie Louise Prinzessin von Hannover, daughter of Ernst August II Wilhelm Adolf Georg Friedrich Prinz von Hannover and Thyra Amelia Caroline Charlotte Anne zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark, on 10 July 1900 at Gmunden, Ober-Osterreich, Austria.2 He died on 6 November 1929 at age 62 at Konstanz, Germany.
     He gained the title of Markgraf von Baden.3 He held the office of Chancellor of the German Empire from 3 October 1918 to 10 November 1918.4
