     Friedrich Wilhelm Kettler, Herzog von Kurland was born in 1692.1 He married Anna Ioannovna Romanov, Tsarina of Russia, daughter of Ivan V Alexeiovich Romanov, Tsar of Russia and Proscovia Feodorovna Soltykova, on 11 November 1710. He died in 1711.1
     He gained the title of Herzog von Kurland.
