     2nd Lt. Gerald Valentine Wellesley was born on 25 May 1885.1 He was the son of Captain Edmond Ernest Charles Wellesley and Florence Sarah Louisa Platt.2 He married Christina Adelina Jelley, daughter of F.G. Jelley, on 12 June 1918.1 He died on 29 January 1933 at age 47.1
     2nd Lt. Gerald Valentine Wellesley gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Suffolk Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1
