Lt.-Col. George FitzRoy was born in June 1800.2 He was the son of General Lord Charles FitzRoy and Lady Frances Anne Stewart.2 He married, firstly, Louisa Harris, daughter of John Harris, on 6 July 1830.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Charlotte Frances Bona Spencer, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. George Augustus Spencer and Charlotte Munro, on 8 January 1873.1 He died on 4 January 1883 at age 82.2
Lt.-Col. George FitzRoy gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 1st Life Guards.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Buckinghamshire Militia.2 He lived at Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire, England.2 He also had three daughters by his first wife.2
