     Conrad III Hohenstaufen, King of the Romans was born in 1093.1 He was the son of Friedrich I Hohenstaufen, Duke of Swabia and Agnes von Waiblingen, Princess of the Holy Roman Empire.1 He married Gertrude von Sulzbach, daughter of Berenger I Graf von Sulzbach and Adelheid von Wolfratshausen.1 He died in 1152.1
     He succeeded to the title of King Conrad III of the Romans in 1138.1,2 He succeeded to the title of Herzog von Bayern in 1141.3

     Friedrich IV Hohenstaufen, Duke of Swabia was born in 1145.1 He was the son of Conrad III Hohenstaufen, King of the Romans and Gertrude von Sulzbach.1 He married Gertrude von Sachsen, daughter of Heinrich V Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Clementia von Zähringen, circa 1166. He died on 19 August 1167.
     He gained the title of Duke of Swabia.1
