     Mary Hamilton was born before 1676 at France.1 She was the daughter of Sir George Hamilton, Marechal du Camp and Frances Jenyns.1 She married Nicholas Barnewall, 3rd Viscount Barnewall of Kingsland, son of Henry Barnewall, 2nd Viscount Barnewall of Kingsland and Mary Nugent, on 15 May 1688.1 She died on 15 February 1735/36 at Turvey, County Dublin, Ireland.1 She was buried at Luske.1 Her will (dated 17 January to 11 February 1731/2) was probated on 10 April 1740.1
     From 15 May 1688, her married name became Barnewall.1 As a result of her marriage, Mary Hamilton was styled as Viscountess Barnewall of Kingsland on 1 June 1688.
