     Brigadier George Taylor was born on 17 September 1905.2,3 He died on 17 July 1994 at age 88.2,4
     Brigadier George Taylor was commissioned on 2 February 1929.5 He fought in the Second World War, including the North-West Campaign.2 He was decorated with the Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (and bar).2 He gained the rank of Colonel on 10 May 1951.5 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1955.2 He retired from the military on 31 March 1957, with the rank of Honorary Brigadier, late of the West Yorkshire Regiment.5 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Holy Sepulchre (K.H.S.).2
