     William Francis Somerset was born in 1876.1 He was the son of Vere Francis John Somerset and Annette Katherine Hill.1 He married, firstly, Laura Helen Thomas, daughter of W. H. Thomas, in 1899.1 He married, secondly, Ann Margaret Vibert Laurence, daughter of C. V. Laurence, in 1927.1 He died on 7 March 1942.1
