Hugh Norcott Durant was born in 1883.2 He was the son of Charles Frank Pedley Jones and Mabel Eliza Norcott.1,2 He married Lily Horatia Ethel Georgiana Somerset, daughter of Raglan Turberville Henry Somerset and Elizabeth Horatia Anne Nelson-Ward, on 3 February 1913.1 He died on 24 March 1948 at London, England.1,2
     Lt.-Col. Hugh Norcott Durant was baptised with the name of Hugh Norcott Jones.2 His name was legally changed to Hugh Norcott Durant.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Irish Rifles.1 He lived at Twyn-y-corras, Kentchurch, Herefordshire, England.1
