     Alexander MacDowall was born before 1606. He was the son of John McDowall of Logan and Grissell Vaus.2 He married Jane Agnew, daughter of Sir Patrick Agnew of Lochnaw, 1st Bt. and Margaret Kennedy, in 1621.1
     Alexander MacDowall lived at Logan, Ayrshire, Scotland.1 He was also known as McDowall.2
