     Colonel Sir Rowland Alston, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir Rowland Alston, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Reynes.1 He married Gertrude Durnford, daughter of Reverend Thomas Durnford and Susanna Stillingfleet.1 He died on 29 June 1791, without issue.1 His will (dated 22 March 1790) was proven (by probate) on 13 July 1791.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Alston, of Odell, co. Bedford [E., 1642] on 18 July 1774.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire between 1779 and 1780.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Gertrude Durnford was born circa 1731.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Durnford and Susanna Stillingfleet.1 She married Colonel Sir Rowland Alston, 6th Bt., son of Sir Rowland Alston, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Reynes.1 She died on 13 March 1807 at Harley Street, London, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 10 January 1792) was proven (by probate) in April 1807.1
     Her married name became Alston.1

     Stillingfleet Durnford was baptised on 4 April 1718 at Cranborne, Dorset, England.2 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Durnford and Susanna Stillingfleet.1,3 He married Mary Demarez.2 He died on 19 April 1786 at age 68.2
     He lived at Tower of London, The City, London, EnglandG.1

     John Alston was born in 1763 at Gayton, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of John Wasse and Catharine Davis-Bovie.1 He married Elizabeth Wasse, daughter of Charles Wasse, before 1789.1 He died on 20 February 1807, without surviving male issue.1
     He was given the name of John Wasse at birth.1 He was styled as Baronet Alston in 1774.1 In 1774 his name was legally changed to John Alston.1

     Elizabeth Wasse was the daughter of Charles Wasse.1 She married John Alston, son of John Wasse and Catharine Davis-Bovie, before 1789.1 She died before 1808.1 Her will was proven (by probate) in 1808.1
     From before 1789, her married name became Alston.1
