     Mary McKinlay was the daughter of John James McKinlay.1 She married Sir John Arnott, 1st Bt., son of John Arnott and Elizabeth Paton, on 20 January 1852.1 She died on 29 July 1866.1
     From 20 January 1852, her married name became Arnott.1

     David Taylor Arnott was born on 28 April 1855.1 He was the son of Sir John Arnott, 1st Bt. and Mary McKinlay.1 He married, firstly, Ethel Marion Napier Bell, daughter of Captain Frederic John Bell, in 1890.1 He married, secondly, Blanche Emma Girdwood, daughter of John Girdwood, on 11 December 1895.1 He died on 22 July 1915 at age 60.1

     John Frederic Arnott was born on 2 June 1892.1 He was the son of David Taylor Arnott and Ethel Marion Napier Bell.1 He married Phyllis Cundell, daughter of James Cundell, on 23 April 1919.1 He died on 10 January 1967 at age 74.1
     He was educated at Bradfield School, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Wiltshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Saskatchewan Regiment.1

John Anthony Arnott was born on 23 March 1921.1 He was the son of John Frederic Arnott and Phyllis Cundell.1 He married Jean Barbara Jill Benedicta Gill, daughter of Charles Lovett Gill and Adele Nora Dickinson, on 18 November 1944.1 He died on 21 February 1980 at age 58 at Devon Cottage, Bourton, Dorset, England.1,2
     Lt.-Cdr. John Anthony Arnott usually went by his middle name of Anthony.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.)1 He was Superintendant of Lands and Survey, Sarawak.1
