     Sir Alexander Patrick Bannerman of Elsick, 14th Bt. was born on 5 May 1933.1 He was the son of Sir Donald Arthur Gordon Bannerman of Elsick, 13th Bt. and Barbara Charlotte Cameron.1 He married Joan Mary Wilcox, daughter of John Henry Wilcox, in 1977.1 He died on 21 November 1989 at age 56.1
     Sir Alexander Patrick Bannerman of Elsick, 14th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Patrick.1 He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the service of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.1 He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 14th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 16 September 1989.1
