     Major William Ashton Shuttleworth was born on 18 October 1952.1 He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. John Ashton Shuttleworth and Margaret Eugenie Blackwell.1 He married Belinda Mary Gray, daughter of Major John Magnus Gray and Patricia Mary Eggar, on 19 November 1983.2 He and Belinda Mary Gray were divorced in 1993.2
     He gained the rank of officer in 1972 in the service of the British Army.2 He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1985 in the service of the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own).2

     Belinda Mary Gray is the daughter of Major John Magnus Gray and Patricia Mary Eggar.1 She married Major William Ashton Shuttleworth, son of Lt.-Cdr. John Ashton Shuttleworth and Margaret Eugenie Blackwell, on 19 November 1983.1 She and Major William Ashton Shuttleworth were divorced in 1993.1
      From 19 November 1983, her married name became Shuttleworth.1

     Major Ashton Ashton Shuttleworth was born on 4 July 1878.1 He was the son of Colonel Ashton John Shuttleworth.1 He married, firstly, Grace Edith M. Athorpe in 1907.2 He married, secondly, Dorothy Ann Leslie, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Leslie, on 3 January 1912.2,3 He died on 8 February 1956 at age 77.1
