John Lowthian Bell was born on 17 June 1925 at Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.1 He was the son of Reverend Hugh Lowthian Bell and Frances Helena Morkill.1 He died in February 1944 at age 18, killed in action onboard H.M.S. Warwick.1
