     Alan Bellingham was the son of Thomas Bellingham and Margery Beck.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Sandford, daughter of Thomas Sandford. He married, firstly, Katherine Ducket, daughter of Anthony Ducket.1 He died on 7 May 1577.1
     Alan Bellingham held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westmorland.1 He held the office of Bencher of the Inner Temple.1 He lived at Helsington, Westmorland, England.1 He lived at Levens Hall, Kendal, Cumberland, England.1
     He had four other daughters and four elder sons.1
