Frederick Christopher Benn was born on 6 April 1912.1 He was the son of Sir Ernest John Pickstone Benn, 2nd Bt. and Gwendolen Dorothy Andrews.1 He married Phyllis Preston, daughter of Edwin Mumford Preston, on 11 September 1937.1 He died on 30 November 1941 at age 29 at Middle East, killed in action.1
