     Colonel Sydney Joseph Lowe was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Lt.-Col. David Michael Peirse Lowe was born on 22 March 1944.¹ He is the son of Colonel Peter Anthony Lowe and Anne Ethel Mary Beresford-Peirse.¹ He married Catherine Lily-Mare Peek, daughter of Leonard Arthur Peek, on 1 January 1968.¹
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Artillery.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Catherine Lily-Mare Peek is the daughter of Leonard Arthur Peek.¹ She married, firstly, Captain John Alec Fleming before 1966.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. David Michael Peirse Lowe, son of Colonel Peter Anthony Lowe and Anne Ethel Mary Beresford-Peirse, on 1 January 1968.¹
     From before 1966, her married name became Fleming.¹ From 1 January 1968, her married name became Lowe.¹

     Captain John Alec Fleming married Catherine Lily-Mare Peek, daughter of Leonard Arthur Peek, before 1966.¹ He died on 6 December 1966, killed in action, when his helicopter was shot down by insurgents.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Artillery.²

     Rorie Waters is the daughter of G. K. Waters.¹ She married Michael Peter Lowe, son of Colonel Peter Anthony Lowe and Anne Ethel Mary Beresford-Peirse, in 1971.¹ She and Michael Peter Lowe were divorced in 1984.¹
     From 1971, her married name became Lowe.¹
