     Elizabeth Shaw was the daughter of Charles Shaw and Frances Lyford.1 She married William Byron, 5th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of William Byron, 4th Baron Byron of Rochdale and Hon. Frances Berkeley, on 28 March 1747, with £70,000.1,2 She died on 5 July 1788 at Somerset Street, London, England.1,2 She was buried on 16 July 1788 at Besthorpe, Norfolk, England.3 Her will (dated 4 January 1785 to 21 June 1787) was probated on 15 July 1788.3
     As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Shaw was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale on 28 March 1747. From 28 March 1747, her married name became Byron.1
