     He lived at Matson, Gloucestershire, England.2 He held the office of Governor of Jamaica from 1702 to 1703.1

     Edward Betenson was the son of Sir Richard Betenson, 1st Bt. and Anne Monins.1 He married Catharine Rayney, daughter of Sir John Rayney, 3rd Bt..2 He died in 1700.2
     He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 2 November 1654.1

     Sir Edward Betenson, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1688.1 He was the son of Edward Betenson and Catharine Rayney.1 He married Ursula Nicks, daughter of John Nicks.1 He died on 24 November 1762.1 He was buried at Wrotham, Kent, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 13 December 1762.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Betenson, of Wimbeldon, co. Surrey [E., 1663] on 17 October 1733.1 He lived at Bradburn Place, Kent, EnglandG.1

     Sir Richard Betenson, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Edward Betenson, 3rd Bt. and Ursula Nicks.1 He married Lucretia Folkes, daughter of Martin Folkes.1 He died on 15 June 1786, without issue.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered in June 1786.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of Kent.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Betenson, of Wimbeldon, co. Surrey [E., 1663] on 24 November 1762.1 He lived at Bradburn Place, Kent, EnglandG.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
