     Ruth Sofia Biddulph was born posthumously on 30 August 1900.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Alexander George Scale Biddulph and Winifred Agnes Maxwell.1 She married Reverend Alfred Lane-Davies, son of Reverend J. Lane-Davies, on 3 October 1922.1 She died on 4 July 1974 at age 73.1
     From 3 October 1922, her married name became Lane-Davies.1
