     Edith Affleck was the daughter of Alexander Murray Affleck.1 She married William James Peake Mason, 1st Baron Blackford, son of George Holt Mason and Laura Mary Moakes, on 30 July 1885.1 She died on 19 May 1958.2
     From 30 July 1885, her married name became Mason.1 After her marriage, Edith Affleck was styled as Baroness Blackford on 26 June 1935.

     Lt.-Col. Glyn Keith Murray Mason, 2nd Baron Blackford was born on 29 May 1887.1 He was the son of William James Peake Mason, 1st Baron Blackford and Edith Affleck.1 He married Grace Ellinor Keen on 6 November 1918.1 He died on 31 December 1972 at age 85.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1906 in the 14th Hussars.1 He fought in the First World War, serving in Salonika and Palestine, and was wounded twice.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 14th Hussars.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.1 He was a director of the Guardian Assurance Company.1 He was a director of the Midland Bank.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Croydon in 1922.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Blackford, of Compton Pauncefoot, co. Somerset [U.K., 1935] on 21 July 1947.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mason [U.K., 1918] on 21 July 1947.3

     William Murray Mason was born on 31 January 1921.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Glyn Keith Murray Mason, 2nd Baron Blackford and Grace Ellinor Keen.1 He died on 23 March 1942 at age 21, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Sergeant-Pilot in the Royal Air Force Volunteer REserve.2

     Keith Alexander Henry Mason, 3rd Baron Blackford was born on 23 February 1923.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Glyn Keith Murray Mason, 2nd Baron Blackford and Grace Ellinor Keen.1 He married Sarah Worthington-Evans, daughter of Sir William Shirley Worthington-Evans, 2nd Bt., on 19 December 1957.1 He and Sarah Worthington-Evans were divorced in 1971.1 He died on 21 April 1977 at age 54.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1943.2 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1947 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mason [U.K., 1918] on 31 December 1972.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Blackford, of Compton Pauncefoot, co. Somerset [U.K., 1935] on 31 December 1972.1

Glyn Keith Murray Mason, 2nd Baron Blackford and Grace Ellinor Keen, on 19 December 1957.1 She and Keith Alexander Henry Mason, 3rd Baron Blackford were divorced in 1971.1 She married, secondly, Eric Ivor Hopton after 1971.1
     From 19 December 1957, her married name became Mason.1 From after 1971, her married name became Hopton.1
