     Hon. Anne Pauline Irby was born on 28 February 1927.¹ She is the daughter of Major Gerald Howard Boteler Irby, 9th Baron Boston and Katherine Gertrude Edwards.¹ She married Professor Sydney James Crews, son of Sydney Kirby Crews, on 8 December 1951.¹
     Hon. Anne Pauline Irby was educated at Seaford Ladies' College, Seaford, Sussex, England.¹ She was educated at Central School of Art and Design, London, England.¹ She graduated from Camberwell College of Arts, London, England, with a Art Teachers' Diploma (A.T.D.).¹ She graduated with a National Diploma in Design (N.D.D.).¹ She was registered as a Associate, Royal Society of British Sculpters (A.R.B.S.).¹ From 8 December 1951, her married name became Crews.¹ She was a painter and printmaker.¹ She lived in 2003 at 86 Wentworth Road, Harborne, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.¹

     Professor Sydney James Crews was the son of Sydney Kirby Crews.¹ He married Hon. Anne Pauline Irby, daughter of Major Gerald Howard Boteler Irby, 9th Baron Boston and Katherine Gertrude Edwards, on 8 December 1951.¹ He died on 3 September 1994.¹
