     Wilhelm von Hartenau was born on 22 February 1915 at Klagenfurt, Austria.1 He is the son of Alois Polaczek and Bertha Hussa.1 He married Maria Elisabeth von Wisenberg, daughter of Franz Edmund Maria Klein Baron von Wisenberg and Annamarie Gabriele Octavie Caroline Regner Baronin von Bleyleben, on 1 February 1941 at Vienna, Austria.1
     Wilhelm von Hartenau was adopted by Assène Ludwig Alexander Graf von Hartenau. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 He lived in 1976 at Beatrixgasse 30, Vienna, Austria.1
